Welcome to Region 6!
As your newly elected and installed Society Director from Region 6, I find it an exciting time of change for the Society! ASCE is embarking on a number of changes, implementing plans that have been in the works for years, like the ASCE2027 event. At the federal level, and across the globe, ASCE continues to advocate for infrastructure funding, education, licensure requirements, and for the Civil Engineer of the future. At the Region-level, it is the local Sections and Branches in Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico which serve as your personal gateway to Civil Engineering.
My role is to be a conduit and champion for information and services between Society and you. If you have an issue, need some help with ASCE, or would like to be pointed in the right direction for available resources, the Region is here to help. We are a board of 6 Governors and 1 Director. As a Region, we are privileged to facilitate the Frontier ASCE Student Symposium every spring and encourage the participation of students, younger members, and professionals alike! Please consider volunteering or sponsoring!
The Region 6 Grant Program is another way we support our membership. The grant application form can be found at the bottom of this welcome page.

¡Bienvenidos a la Región 6!
Como su recién electo e instalado director de la asociación en la Región 6, considero que ASCE está pasando por una etapa de cambios muy emocionante.
ASCE está emprendiendo una serie de transformaciones e implementando planes que han estado en desarrollo durante años, como el evento ASCE2027.
A nivel federal, y en todo el mundo, ASCE continúa abogando por la financiación de infraestructura, la educación, los requisitos de licencias y por el Ingeniero Civil del futuro. A nivel regional, son las secciones y sucursales locales en Oklahoma, Texas, Nuevo México y México las que sirven como puerta de acceso personal a la Ingeniería Civil.
Mi función es ser un puente y defensor de la información y los servicios entre la Sociedad y ustedes. Como Región, cada primavera tenemos el privilegio de coordinar el Simposio Estudiantil de ASCE de la conferencia Frontier, y fomentar la participación tanto de estudiantes, así como de miembros jóvenes y de profesionales por igual. ¡Los animo a que consideren ser voluntarios o patrocinadores!
El Programa de Becas de la Región 6 es otra manera en la que apoyamos a nuestros miembros. El formulario de solicitud de la beca se encuentra al final de esta página de bienvenida.
