This WSBL will be for Regions 1, 2, 4, & 5

 

 

A FEW LOGISTICAL ITEMS:

  • Dress for the WSBL is business casual
  • Prior to attending the WSBL, please Join the WSBL GroupMe on your electronic device (see link below).  During the conference, we will posting updates and reminders in real time.
  • Please join the Geographic Services Department Facebook Group​  We will be providing updates on Facebook throughout the weekend.
  • ​We will be having interactive sessions with your electronic devices and the presentations​
  • Don’t forget to bring plenty of business cards.​
  • Be on the lookout for an online personality test that you will be receiving in advance of the conference to discuss during the session, “Personality as it Relates to Leadership.”​

There will be some Younger Member Activities for Thursday, Friday and Saturday​.  To sign up for the Thursday events, please go to:  2018 ASCE MRLC Thursday Night Event Confirmation.  On Thursday at 5pm, there will be two buses leaving for the Niagara Falls Trip.  There will also be one other bus (school bus), leaving for the brewery. This bus leaving to the brewery will be running rounds between the brewery and hotel until 8:30 pm​.

Hyatt Regency Buffalo Hotel Buffalo, NY

The airport is approximately 9 miles away from the hotel.  While the hotel does not offer a complimentary shuttle,  the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority (NFTA) operates an Airport-Downtown Express Shuttle.  This shuttle runs non-stop service between the airport and Buffalo's central business district, making its first stop in front of the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.  One-way fare (in most cases) is $2.50. Service runs weekdays, approximately every 30 minutes, during peak drive time.
