The 2018 Summer Meeting of the Alabama Section of ASCE and Alabama Chapter of APWA will be held July 16 – 18, 2018. Join us at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Alabama for educational presentations on a range of professional and technical topics.

Agenda

This promises to be an exciting conference at a great venue. The program will kick-off with a reception on Monday evening (July 16th). The conference sessions will take place all day Tuesday, and go until noon on Wednesday. We also plan to have our Seafood Dinner on Tuesday evening. Conditions: The above rates are exclusive of state and local taxes which currently total 11%. A $10.00 surcharge will be applied to each third and fourth adult occupying a room. A maximum of four guests are allowed per room. Children 16 and under stay free when accompanied by parent or guardian. Any special requests in regard to sleeping rooms are based on availability at time of arrival. Group rates will be available three days prior to and three days following the event based upon space and rate availability at the time the reservation is confirmed. However, should the three days pre or post-convention include a special event or holiday, the resort reserves the right of decision to honor or not honor the group rate. Cut-Off Date: The Perdido Beach Resort will accept reservations until Friday, June 15, 2018, at which time any unreserved rooms will be released into general availability. The group rate will no longer be available after the cutoff date and the prevailing hotel rates will apply to any reservation(s) made after Friday, June 15, 2018. Based on space and rate availability, group reservation requests made after the cutoff date will be honored when possible. Cancellations: Cancellation must be made a full 5 days before scheduled arrival; otherwise, one night’s room and tax will be charged to the credit card on file.

Golf Tournament

Your invited to the 22nd Annual ASCE/APWA Summer Golf Tournament being held at a location TBD.  Many things are changing for this year’s tournament.  With the conference occurring in the first half of the week, the golf tournament has been moved to Monday, the opening day of the conference.  The tournament will also start earlier in the day, with a shotgun style start set for 11:00 AM to allow everyone time after the tournament to get to the resort for check-in and the Welcoming Reception that night.  Box lunches will also be provided during golf registration.  The format has also changed this year and will be a “four-man scramble”.  Registration is open to all conference attendees, exhibitors, and guests.  More information about the tournament is found on the forms linked below.  2018 ASCE/APWA Golf Tournament Information 2018 ASCE/APWA Golf Sponsorship Form Golf Registration (Online) Registration for conference attendees is found on the conference registration page HERE.  Registration for exhibitors and sponsors is found on the form above or on the sponsor/exhibitor registration page HERE.  Golf sponsorships are available and are separate from the conference sponsorships, with details found on the form above or on the conference registration page linked above.
