October 10, 2019 - The Basnight Bridge, Outer Banks, NC Project – Mr. Domenic Coletti habeen selected to receive an Honor Award, and possibly the 2020 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) Award, and Mr. Domenic A. Coletti, P.E., M.ASCE from the Eastern Branch of the North Carolina Section along will be honored at ASCE’s esteemed Outstanding Projects and Leaders (OPAL) Gala for “the Basnight Bridge project.”

January 30, 2020 - Dr. Y. Richard Kim, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE  from the Eastern Branch of the North Carolina Section habeen selected by Transportation and Development Institute to receive the  2020 Francis C. Turner Award for “his extraordinary contribution to the fundamental characterization of transportation materials and its application to mechanistic pavement analysis and design.

January 31, 2020 - Dr. Rengao Song, Ph.D., A.M.ASCE from the Louisville Branch of the Kentucky Section habeen selected by the ASCE Environmental and Water Resources Institute to receive the  2020 Samuel Arnold Greeley Award for the paper, “Decay Kinetics of Chlorite under Simulated Distribution System Conditions,” in the April 2019 issue of Journal of Environmental Engineering.

January 31, 2020 - Mr. Mark Campbell, A.M.ASCE from the Louisville Branch of the Kentucky Section habeen selected by the ASCE Environmental and Water Resources Institute to receive the  2020 Samuel Arnold Greeley Award for the paper, “Decay Kinetics of Chlorite under Simulated Distribution System Conditions,” in the April 2019 issue of Journal of Environmental Engineering.

Horner Award for the paper, “Characterization of Environmental Pollutants in Sediment Collected during Street Sweeping Operations to Evaluate its Potential for Reuse,” published in the February 2019 issue of Journal of Environmental Engineering.

Petersen Award for “her selfless dedication to preparing and mentoring future civil and environmental engineers and to serving the professional community through service and leadership.”

February 19, 2020 - Dr. Peter J. Vickery, Ph.D., P.E., F.SEI, F.ASCE from the Eastern Branch of the North Carolina Section habeen selected by the ASCE Cermak Awards Committee to receive the  2020 Jack E. Cermak Medal for “his contributions in the development of hurricane hazard models for risk analysis and for his major impact on the development of building codes and standards in North America.”
