Welcome to Region 8’s Website!
ASCE Region 8 has the largest geographic area in the Society. It consists of the 12 Sections of Alaska, Arizona, Columbia, Hawaii, Inland Empire, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Seattle, Southern Idaho, Tacoma-Olympia, and Utah, and the Western Canadian areas of Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.
Region 8 is led by a Society Director/Region 8 Chair, seven Governors and a Treasurer/Historian. Our purpose is to help you matter more and enable you to make a bigger difference. We advance the civil engineering profession by serving the Members of Region 8 as an extension of the Board of Direction. In addition to managing the affairs of Region 8, we make visits to our Sections, Branches, Younger Member Groups, and Student Chapters.
