West Riverside Energy Center (Alliant Energy) receives an Honor Award, and possibly the 2022 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) award.

The West Riverside Energy Center has been selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers to receive an Honor Award, and possibly the 2022 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA) award. Congratulations Lee Hanson (Alliant Energy), Chuck Taylor (Engineer of Record, UECI), and Todd Young (Project Manager, HDR Inc) for this honor. Your Team did a great job on this project!

Dr. Lutgarde Raskin, Ph.D., M.ASCE receives ASCE’s 2022 Simon W. Freese Environmental Engineering Award and Lecture OPAL Leadership Award - Education

Dr. Lutgarde Raskin, Ph.D., M.ASCE has been selected by ASCE’s Environmental and Water Resources Institute to receive the 2022 Simon W. Freese Environmental Engineering Award and Lecture for “her extraordinary accomplishments in using fundamental scientific principles and current research findings to solve the most challenging environmental problems.”

Brijen Miyani; Xavier Fonoll; Anna Mehrotra; John Norton Jr. Ph.D., P.E., M.ASCE; and Irene Xagoraraki, Ph.D., A.M.ASCE have been selected by ASCE’s Environmental and Water Resources Institute to receive the 2022 Wesley W. Horner Award for the paper, “SARS-CoV-2 in Detroit Wastewater,” published in the November 2020 issue of Journal of Environmental Engineering.
