Welcome to Region 8 of the American Society of Civil Engineers

Welcome to Region 8’s Website!

ASCE Region 8 has the largest geographic area in the Society. It consists of the 12 Sections of Alaska, Arizona, Columbia, Hawaii, Inland Empire, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Seattle, Southern Idaho, Tacoma-Olympia, and Utah, and the Western Canadian areas of Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.

Region 8 is led by a Society Director/Region 8 Chair, seven Governors and a Treasurer/Historian. Our purpose is to help you matter more and enable you to make a bigger difference. We advance the civil engineering profession by serving the Members of Region 8 as an extension of the Board of Direction. In addition to managing the affairs of Region 8, we make visits to our Sections, Branches, Younger Member Groups, and Student Chapters.

This website contains information on ASCE, but with a Region 8 focus. You can find information on Society and Region 8 activities on our Events page. You can find contact information about our Region 8 leadership team on our Contacts page. Take a look at the “Region 8 Wall of Fame” on our Awards page. Catch up on all issue of the Region 8 newsletter on our Newsletter page. Finally, our Resources page contains links to a Region 8 overview, references to help you run your local groups from the Leader Training Committee website, Society Board of Direction meeting minutes and links to all of our Region 8 Section websites. If you want to find more information about ASCE visit the Society website at www.ASCE.org.

Thank you for visiting our website and if you have comments or questions, please contact me or any of your Region 8 leaders. It is an honor to be your Region 8 Chair as well as your Society Director on the Society’s Board of Direction. Always remember that Region 8 is GREAT!  #asceregion8isgreat
