Region 7 Director's Report

Greetings to you all! 

Let me introduce myself: I’m Erin Steever and am thrilled to be transitioning into the Region 7 Director roll for the next three years.  For some background, prior to becoming Director, I completed two consecutive terms as Region 7 Governor representing Iowa and South Dakota.  I am a registered professional engineer in South Dakota, and I have been working in the water and wastewater discipline for 20 years now, writing Preliminary Engineering Reports to fulfill funding requirements, designing collection and distribution systems, water towers, treatment systems and pump stations. A am also the editor of the Source to Stream, a water and wastewater focused quarterly publication sponsored by three South Dakota associations.

I would also like to take a few minutes to congratulate our new President-Elect, Marsia Geldert-Murphey!  For those of you that may not know, she is a native to South Dakota, growing up in Rapid City and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University before moving to the St Louis area.  We are so proud of her, she has achieved so much over her career and rising to society leadership is a first for a South Dakotan.
